Position Description

This position is located in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is responsible for providing payment and financial management support to United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) and serves as a strategic nationwide safety net for addressing USAO payment processing needs, including vacancies, absences, and surge periods.

 

 

Job Duties:

  1. Experience with processing documents and transactions from designated Districts using the UFMS and EOUSA systems.
  2. Experience reviewing accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations, generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget (OMB) circulars.
  3. Experience identifying corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
  4. Experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
  5. Demonstrates proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.
  6. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) when reviewing and processing travel vouchers from District employees; experience processing travel documents in the E2 Solutions.

 

 

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Position requires 2 or more years of professional related work experience in the finance or accounting field
  • DOJ/EOUSA public trust clearance will be required
