Position Description

Functional Responsibilities: Review Request for Contract packages, solicitations and contract files. Conduct Market Research. Review Cost/Price proposals and/or quotes. Prepare reports, document findings and other supporting documentation. Processes orders and contract modifications. Maintains official documentation in files in accordance with the FAR and office procedures. Handles actions related to pre- and post-award. Prepares required correspondence. Reviews documents and provides feedback as necessary.  Process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests and/or Congressional Inquiries.  Prepares purchase orders and/or maintains official documentation in files.  Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of files. Review documents and provide feedback as necessary.

Requirements

General Experience:  Must possess in-depth knowledge of Federal Contracting such as FAR and other regulations. Hands on experience that demonstrates expertise in contracting and procurement. 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Contracting and procurement and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience (7 years of directly related experience will substitute for education).    2. Proficient knowledge of Federal Contracting such as FAR and other regulations.    3. Hands-on experience that demonstrates proficient expertise in one or more functional areas related to contracting and procurement.    4. Excellent written and oral communications skills.  

 

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience:   Must have bachelor’s degree.     FAC-C or DAWIA Certification in Contracting strongly preferred.   A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of Contracting and procurement or equivalent combination of formal education and experience (7 years of directly related experience will substitute for education).
