Position Description


XLA is looking for Financial Operations to support a federal agency located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting with the daily preparation, processing, management and correction of financial transactions. Transactions include but are not limited to: deposits, debit vouchers, transfers, obligations, accruals, payments, and payment cancellations;
  • Accessing one or more government financial management systems to retrieve documents, analyze activity, and generate reports;
  • Researching and responding to customer inquiries to designated shared mailboxes;
  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly closing activities.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Business or related degree.
  • At least 1 (one) year of experience successfully participating in the completion of similar project tasks.
  • A Graduate Degree in Business or Finance and/or professional certification preferred.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 4 (four) years of experience eperforming similar work may be accepted.
  • Expert level experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with UFMS
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
