XLA is looking for a Data Analyst to work on site at our government customer's location in Farmers Branch, TX. Under the direction of the XLA Program Manager, the Data Analyst (DA) will develop requirements and process flows to support the development of reports of performance metrics covering the operations of DHS, ICE, Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Personnel Security Unit (PSU). PSU is responsible for processing security background investigations for fitness determinations (contractors) and suitability reviews (employees).
The DA will interface with stakeholders across multiple PSU functions, including Intake, Investigations, Adjudications, Entry on Duty, and File Room, to define reporting requirements. The DA will work with the IT Data Analyst to ensure requirements result in development of performance reports. A key source of data for reporting purposes is the DHS iSMS system (Integrated Security Management System). Data is extracted from iSMS into Excel and other tools for analytic and reporting purposes. Stakeholders across PSU will generate requests for queries of the data to answer a variety of specific questions related to performance. The DA will document the ad hoc requests, and work with the XLA Program Manager to assign priorities for completion of ad hoc queries and reports.
Certification in Business Analysis desirable
Certification in ITIL Foundations a plus
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance.
