  • Position Description

    XLA is looking for a Purchasing Specialist  to sit on site at our government customer's offices in Arlington, VA. The Purchasing Specialist will support DEA's Acquisition Programs, most importantly, the Federal Government Purchase Card Program. 

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Developing/presenting training on Federal Government Purchase Card Program
    • Reviewing of acquisition policy documents
    • Providing customer service to DEA’s 400+ Purchase Card Holders and nearly 200 Purchase Card Approving Officials
    • Supporting for Acquisition programs including but not limited to Purchase Card, Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and Acquisition Career Manager (ACM)
    • Assisting Federal Program Managers, as required
    • Developing communications
    • Tracking recurring projects and activities

    Requirements

    • Experience in managing Federal Government Purchase Card Program
    • Experience in managing Acquisition Programs such as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Acquisition Career Manager (ACM)
    • Ability to communicate in writing
    • Ability to develop user guides, training content, and communications
    • Ability to present training and answer participant questions on Acquisition Program Topics including but not limited to Federal Government Purchase Card Program
    • Ability to analyze incoming issues and propose solutions

     

    Education Requirements:

    • A minimum of a High School Degree and four years of relevant subject matter experience is required  
    • Experience can be substituted for a higher educational degree equivalent to the minimum years of experience
